Winnie the Boob is a serial work of The Ugly One and Jump! BIG Girl! that challenges the mainstream values. The “flat” girl Winnie is unsure of herself because of being “flat”, so she decides to do breast implants and then get her ex-boyfriend back. In the prologue and the ending scene, in which Winnie starts thinking about the source of her worries: “does it come from my flatness or from my lack of confidence?” The mermaid trading her voice for legs appears as a metaphor for poor women changing their appearance for love.
